European Marathi Sammelan 2025
Background
BruhanMaharashtra Mandal (BMM) was started in the US some time during 1990s.
Inspired by that, European Marathi Sammelan (EMS) was started in 1998 in The Netherlands and has been taking place every 2 years in Europe till 2018.
EMS has an average attendance of 400-600 delegates who enjoy Marathi cultural programmes of dance, music, poetry, plays, interviews and other performances for 3 days. These programmes are presented by professional artists from India as well local artists from Europe and UK.
पार्श्वभूमी
बृहन्महाराष्ट्र मराठी मंडळ (बीएमएम) हे १९९० च्या दशकात अमेरिकेमधे सुरू झाले।
त्याने प्रेरित होऊन, नेदरलँड्समध्ये १९९८ मध्ये युरोपीय मराठी संमेलन सुरू करण्यात आले आणि २००० पासून दर दोन वर्षांनी युरोप किंवा युके मधे होत आले आहे.
साधारण ४००-६०० मराठी भाषिक ३ दिवस एकत्र येऊन नृत्य, संगीत, काव्य, नाटक, मुलाखती इत्यादी सांस्कृतिक कार्यक्रमांचा आनंद उपभोगतात.
भारतातून आलेले व्यावसायिक कलाकार तसेच युरोप व युके मधील हौशी कलाकार हे कार्यक्रम सादर करतात.

Promote, preserve and present various aspects of social, educational, cultural and literary activities for the Marathi speaking community in Europe.
Bring together Marathi speaking community in Europe.
To contribute to charitable causes.
Generate interest about Marathi culture in young people.
ध्येय
युरोपमधील मराठी भाषिक समुदायासाठी सामाजिक, शैक्षणिक, सांस्कृतिक आणि साहित्यिक उपक्रमांच्या विविध पैलूंचा प्रचार, जतन आणि सादरीकरण.
युरोपातील मराठी भाषिक समाजाला एकत्र आणणे.
धर्मादाय व सामाजिक कार्यास योगदान देणे.
तरुणांमध्ये मराठी संस्कृतीबद्दल आस्था निर्माण करणे.
